This best-selling guide to decluttering your home from minimalist visionary Jennifer Nicole takes listeners step by step through her revolutionary "Tao of Cleanliness" system for simplifying, organizing, and storing.
Clutter is a physical manifestation of the stress in our lives. Every time we look at it, we feel like failures. It's a constant reminder or our own inadequacy. A cluttered room or a disorganized desktop can often be a sign of something inside of us. A form of mental clutter.
What we want is a sound mind in a sound body.
That ancient Latin aphorism is so right. When our house is cluttered, our mind is cluttered. And it can feel like we are trapped in a continuous cycle.
By tackling the physical clutter problem first, you open the door to breaking that cycle and freeing your mind from that sense of failure or looming stress.
Nobody actually wants to live in a messy home or have routines and habits that hurt our relationships with loved ones. Living this way can make us feel empty and isolated. We end up filling our house with junk to make up for the emptiness in our hearts.
Without realizing it, you could be stuck in this emotionally draining, disorganized cycle right now.
First clue - there are clothes on the floor in between your bedroom and bathroom right now
Second clue - there are seats in your house that you can't sit on without moving something off of them
Third clue - you have an emotional attachment to items you've never used or worn

As a committed minimalist, I'd like to think I know all about minimalism and simple living. Not true! I, too, learned a lot from this easy-to-read book that's full of practical advice. I agree with the author, minimalism is a lifestyle that replaces the mindless "stuff" of life with more time, space, relationships and, more importantly, experiences. I also agree that what works for someone else may not work for you, and vice-versa. Jennifer Nicole goes through each of the typical spaces in one's home, the unique challenges each of them presents, and offers sensible "here's how you go about it" advice. My home is already stripped down to the absolute essentials, and I am proud of it. However, my one blind spot has been my computer electronic clutter, especially my email inbox. Now the author has provided me with all the inspiration I need to tackle this one.Product details

Easy Minimalist Living 30 Days to Declutter Simplify and Organize Your Home Without Driving Everyone Crazy (Audible Audio Edition) Jennifer Nicole Charlee Prescott Dragon God Books Books Reviews
This book is 'EASY', very thin and a very quick read. I thought it would have more de cluttering help but mainly had common sense solutions. Probably a great read for someone just starting to figure out how to start the de cluttering process but I personally need more help and ideas than this gave me.
Worst kind of non-advice to "do it my way." No serious instructions or rules for being "minimalist," and that is never clearly defined. SAVE YOUR MONEY and do not waste it on this useless book. I am going to follow the author's advice and shred useless papers, which starts with this book.
I have been looking for ways to organize and reduce clutter. This book was extremely helpful. I will be using a lot of tips from this book to help me reduce unnecessary stuff from my life.
I love this book. Now, I'm not quite ready to commit to the whole minimalist lifestyle, but the advice in the book will definitely help me to declutter my live, we've been in this house for 20 years and starting tomorrow the clean-up will commence. The writing is excellent and concise. Highly recommended.
I liked this book because it takes you on a journey - room by room telling you how and why to do this and most of all I like the ending - giving you a 30 day plan too
I often wondered how much stuff she had when she started because her idea of downsizing was drastically different from mine. She also suggested buying a lot of things that really weren't necessary. Overall worth reading but any time someone says you should buy a new laptop because its smaller, you should probably only take them half seriously.
There are some great ideas in this book. I'm a chaotic person, so it helped me get started. Everyone needs help at some point and this book can get you started in decluttering, not only your house, but your life.
